Arthur Wellington Mestayre Uphill
Arthur Wellington Mestayre UPHILL was baptised 3 Oct 1813, St Giles, Reading, Berkshire. His father is described as “Soldier 3rd Regt of Foot” in the register1).
Arthur was given his first two names in honour of Arthur Wellesley (1st Duke of Wellington), although I have yet to find a reason for the name Mestayre.
He was buried, aged 4, 24 May 1818 Spa Fields, St James', Clerkenwell.
Denomination: Countess of Huntingdon's Connexion
1)
Coincidentally, the residence given is London Street, where there was also a Baptist chapel.
