Joseph Major

Joseph MAJOR was born c.1720-1726.

According to his marriage bond, he was a Blacksmith.

A Joseph Major, the son of Joseph, a weaver from Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, was apprenticed to Peter Hasert of the Blacksmith's Company - fees were paid 4 Feb 1733/34 (if this is the correct Joseph, he would have been 8 years old if born in 1726, as suggested in the marriage bond).
