John GAY may have been the John baptised 11 Feb 1738/39, Ingworth, Norfolk, the son of Thomas and Ann.\\

John may just as likely have been the son of John and Hannah baptised 22 Apr 1734, Burgh next Aylsham, Norfolk - however, there is a John buried 13 Aug 1734, and I am unable to establish if this is father or son((For example: there are 2 burials for a Stephen Dyball, 21 Oct 1730 & 29 June 1734, yet neither mention being a child/son of.. (there is a baptism 17 Aug 1730 for the son of Thomas and Deborah). )).\\
